Rainbows in the sky for our love

How colorful is the world we live in! Everyday the brilliance of the sun and the colorful chirping of the birds awaken me to a new day. As usual, on Wednesday, I started my day by checking emails, and to my surprise and dishearten, an extraordinary legend, Maya Angelou, had died at the age of 86. Although somewhat distraught by this, all I could think about was how colorful her world was. She brought pinks, reds, oranges, yellows, greens; all the colors of the rainbow to the lives of people everyday through her presence and quite remarkable teachings. Therefore, I decided to commemorate her life the best way I know how: in living color.

I started this colorful makeup look by applying E.L.F. eyeshadow primer and M.A.C. soft ochre paint pot all over my eyelid and into my crease. Then, I applied Coastal Scents hot pot in oatmeal tan and oktoterfest above and into the crease. Once blended, I used M.A.C. neo-orange pigment and blended it into the crease. In order for the lid color to pop, I then applied NYX white eyeshadow base and blended it out. Using M.A.C. neo-orange pigment and a slightly damp synthetic brush, I applied the pigment to the mobile lid. To hide the eyelash band, I applied a very thin black line and then a winged line using Wet n’ Wild eyeliner in turquoise. For my bottom lash line, I applied NYX white base, then Coastal Scents hot pots in fluorescence (inner tear duct) and shamrock green to the rest of the lash line. Then I added Maybelline Great Lash mascara in I see blue (limited edition) to my bottom lashes and Kara #217 falsies to my top eyelashes.  On my lips, I applied Wet n’ Wild lip liner in willow and M.A.C. fresh brew lipstick. On the rest of the face, I did my usual routine (check back to older post).

A rainbow is made up of all the colors anybody could ever imagine, that is why we love them so much.

“Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud”
